In a shocking incident, Tollywood comedian Vijay Sai allegedly committed suicide in the early hours of Monday at his residence in Yusufguda in Hyderabad. The 38-year-old took the extreme step early Monday. His parents blame his wife Vanitha Reddy for his suicide.
The 38-year-old actor was found hanging in the bedroom of his apartment by his family members. Initial reports suggest that Vijay was under a lot of stress due to personal and financial problems. He lived separately from his wife since 2015 and has not received good offers of films for some time.
Two days ago, Sai filed a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police that Vanitha had forcibly removed her car from the parking lot without her knowledge. It is known that Vijay recorded a video before ending his life. He named three people responsible for his extreme step. Vanitha, his lawyer and a private person were named in the video.
The police are investigating to discover the exact reason that led the comedian to take such a drastic step. Local media reports suggest that the fall in Vijay’s acting career was one of the main reasons that led to his suicide.
While talking to the press after visiting Vijay’s body in the Osmania General Hospital morgue, Vanitha said: “I should have killed myself because of the torture he had given me, had affairs and used to beat me even when I was traveling. I chose to live separately because he refused to repair his customs, I have been fighting for my rights through the court. ”
“He used to come, spend time with the daughter and, sometimes, take her out and come back in. I never refused her access to the baby,” Vanitha said.
